Researchers seeking to document landscape changes in the Bay Area have
found the photographic archives at Pacific Aerial Surveys invaluable to
their studies. Beginning in the early 1930s, photography was flown of
the nine Bay Area counties every 2-3 years. Photographed with sophisticated
aerial equipment (see specifications)
the resulting photography can be inspected for the smallest detail, enlarged
to wall size images, scanned into digital documents, or used to create
topographic maps. |
