PAS Gallery: Golden Gate International Exposition

The Golden Gate International Exposition was held in 1939-1940 on Treasure Island, the largest manmade island of the time. The GGIE was held in celebration of the completion of the two great bridges, the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge (1936) and the Golden Gate Bridge (1937).
