PAS Gallery: Bridges

During the Depression of the 1930s, two great civil works projects took place on San Francisco Bay: the building of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. While the noted photographer Peter Stackpole captured the building of these bridges from the surface, Clyde Sunderland chronicled the building of the bridges from the air.
